Mixing and storage tanks can be either atmospheric internal or pressure-rated internal. Kettles, typically jacketed tanks, offer agitation capabilities and can handle internal pressure and vacuum. Generally, kettles are rated at 15 psi or less, though some configurations allow for higher ratings. The distinction between a kettle and a reactor is based on pressure ratings, with reactors designed for higher-pressure applications.
Tank Orientation: Our tanks are available in both vertical and horizontal orientations, and some jacketed tanks may not be classified as kettles depending on their use case.
